Wix is a fine product for hobbyists. For a business, the comparison isn't about monthly price: it's about what you get. A Wix site scores 40 to 60 on Google PageSpeed. A hand-coded site scores 98 to 100. That difference directly affects your search ranking, your bounce rate, and how professional you look to a potential customer who finds you on Google.
The $150/month plan also includes hosting, unlimited edits, and direct access to the people who build your site whenever something needs to change. Wix charges extra for most of that.
On the monthly plan, you own all your content: your text, your photos, your brand. The code is licensed to you for as long as you're a client. If you cancel, you can take your content and we'll export everything cleanly.
If ownership of the source code is important to you, the lump sum option is the right fit: you get the full codebase outright.
Most sites are live within 7 to 14 days of the consultation call. The main variable is how quickly you can provide your content: your text, photos, logo, and any specific details about your business.
If you don't have content ready, we'll help you figure out what you need. Placeholder content can go live first; we update it as you have it.
On the monthly plan: unlimited changes, just send us a message. We turn around most edit requests within 24–48 hours.
On the lump sum plan: 30 days of post-launch support is included. After that, changes are billed at an hourly rate or we move to a monthly support retainer.
That's true of badly-written custom code. It's not true here. Every site we build is organized, commented, and structured so that text changes are straightforward. You're also never doing it yourself. We handle all updates.
Fair question. A few things:
First, you can judge the work directly: this site is the demo. Check the Lighthouse score yourself (it's public). View the source code. That's not something most agencies invite you to do.
Second, established agencies often charge $8,000–$15,000 for a WordPress site that scores worse on every technical metric than what you're looking at now.
Third, you get direct access to the CS and Math programmers who build your site, not an account manager who relays messages to a developer in another time zone.
Not much. Ideally: a rough idea of what pages you want, any existing branding (logo, colors) if you have it, and a sense of what you want visitors to do when they land on your site. That's it. The consultation is structured to pull out everything else.
